Why We Do It

A skoolie build shop is a close-quarters environment. People share tools, lumber, welding equipment, and common spaces. A basic screening helps everyone feel safe and protected.

What This Checks

  • Identity consistency
  • Criminal history signals relevant to a shared shop environment
  • Risk flags that matter when people share tools, property, and close quarters

What This Does Not Do

  • Not a judgment of your character
  • Not a guarantee of any outcome
  • Not used to collect SSN or DOB on our site
  • Not about politics or online opinions

🔐 Your data is protected. Sensitive information like SSN and DOB is submitted directly to Checkr. Skoolie School does not collect or store this data.

Most Skoolie Dreams Die in a Driveway

⚠️ The Hard Truth

Not from lack of passion. From a thousand small cuts that add up to one big surrender.

You can see it perfectly. The open road. The mountains. The freedom. A home you built with your own hands, parked wherever you want to be. 🌄

That vision is what made you buy the bus. Maybe you drove twelve hours to pick it up. Maybe you drained your savings. Maybe you told everyone about your plan.

And now it just sits there. 😔

Seats half torn out. Tools scattered on the floor. Progress photos that stopped three months ago. Every time you walk past it, something tightens in your chest.

💭 You keep telling yourself you will get back to it.

Next weekend. Next month. When the weather is better. When you have more money. When you finally figure out that electrical issue that has been haunting you for weeks.

But deep down, you already know the truth.

The longer it sits, the harder it becomes to start again. The rust spreads. The motivation fades. The dream quietly suffocates under the weight of everything you do not know how to do.

💀 This Is How Builds Die

Not in one dramatic moment of failure. In slow, grinding stalls that drain your money, your time, and your spirit.

It starts with a simple question you cannot answer confidently. "What gauge wire do I actually need for this?" So you watch a video. Then another. Then you are three hours deep and more confused than when you started.

You order a part. It arrives. It is wrong. You order again. Wrong again. 💸

You cut a hole in the wrong place. Now you have a new problem you did not have before.

You realize your subfloor approach was flawed. But the flooring is already down. Do you tear it all out? Do you just... hope for the best? 😰

🔥 The Mistakes That Break Builders

Every abandoned build shares the same DNA. The same preventable errors that compound into complete defeat.

Electrical installed by guesswork

Wrong wire gauge. Improper fusing. No service access planned. Then something fails behind a wall you just finished. Now you have two choices: tear it all out, or live with the constant anxiety.

💧
Plumbing that leaks in silence

No pressure test before closing up the walls. The drip starts small, invisible. By the time you finally smell it, the damage is already done. Mold. Rot. A complete teardown you never planned for.

🧱
Insulation that traps moisture

Wrong product for a mobile application. Wrong vapor barrier placement. Now condensation builds up silently where you cannot see it. In a year or two, you will find out. It will not be pretty.

🚌
Weight distribution completely ignored

Heavy items mounted wherever it was convenient. Battery bank on one side. Water tank on the opposite. Now the bus handles like a drunk elephant. Components shake loose with every single bump.

😱 Here is the cruelest part of all.

You will not discover most of these mistakes until months or even years down the road. The finish hides them beautifully. The road reveals them brutally.

And by that point, fixing them means destroying the very work you were most proud of.

🌟 There Is Another Way

What if you could build your bus in a place that was specifically designed for exactly this kind of work?

Real professional tools. Real dedicated workspace. Real experienced people who have already solved the exact problems you are currently stuck on.

Not YouTube tutorials. Not forum advice from strangers. Not endless guessing.

Hands-on guidance. Right there with you. Exactly when you need it most. 🙌

🏕️ Skoolie School exists because too many good builds die alone in driveways.

We give you space, tools, and real guidance. You give 20 hours a week helping around the campground. A simple, fair exchange.

Stay one week. Stay three months. Build at your own pace, but build it right the first time.

✅ What Actually Changes When You Build Here

You stop guessing on electrical. Someone who knows shows you the right approach before you even start.
You pressure test your plumbing before the walls ever close. Problems get found and fixed early.
You build with service access planned from the beginning. Future you will thank present you.
You learn the proper sequence. What to do first. What to wait on. Because order matters as much as skill.
You actually finish. Like, really finish. And you drive away knowing it was done right. 🚌💨

🚨 The Bus Is Waiting For You

Every single day that bus sits in the driveway is another day the rust wins. Another day the dream fades a little more. Another day closer to becoming just another statistic.

Or you can finally do something about it.

Meet the Founder

Who Am I

My name is Rob Beene. I own and operate RV parks across Alabama. Over the years, I have watched too many builds die in driveways. Good people with real dreams. No place to work. No guidance. No community.

That is why I built Skoolie School™. I have the land. I have the workshop. I have a fully operational sawmill on site. I have the infrastructure to give builders exactly what they need: space, tools, and experienced people around them.

I am not a bus builder myself. What I am is someone who has spent decades making projects happen. I know what it takes to get things done. I know how to create environments where people succeed. And I know that most builders fail because they try to do it alone in a driveway with no support.

Skoolie School™ changes that equation. You bring the dream and the hustle. We provide everything else.

If you are ready to stop spinning your wheels and finally finish your build, apply today. I personally review every application.
